In an effort to get better at photographing mountain biking I hit a local bike park with Brian Peer and his buddy Chris Jones. I ended up not shooting a whole lot and actually rode a little myself. The light was just too fff’d up.
I did break out some strobes though to try and cross light with the harsh sun. I grouped 2 lights on one stand together and then another coming from the same side but about 3.5 feet away to add a little light to the front of the rider and create a little bit of wrap around light. It actually worked out pretty well but almost as soon as I got the lights dialed in they were done hitting that jump. It was really big and really scary looking. I don’t blame ’em.
